Austin, Texas, United States Fox Robotics Full time
Join Our Team as a Senior Technical Project Manager

Fox Robotics is a pioneer in warehouse automation, focusing on autonomous forklifts. As a leader in this space, we have clear product market fit and are scaling rapidly, with plans to grow from 100 employees to nearly 160 this year alone.

This is a unique opportunity to learn and grow with a mission-driven team focused on making robots that work. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will interface with forklift OEMs for all aspects of program and project management in the integration of our autonomy package of controllers, sensors, cameras, and LIDARs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the overall Program Plan with clear milestones, deliverables, and check points with defined go/no-go success criteria.
  • Work closely with all affected department leaders and employees to ensure aligned, cross-functional delivery of outcomes to challenging timing and cost targets.
  • Coordinate product requirements and validation plans to adequately cover regulatory and compliance needs.
  • Monitor the New Program design and release process to deliver BOM readiness to support prototype and production level parts that meet program timing.
  • Work with suppliers to lead development and release of components related to an active autonomous system while meeting cost, weight, timing, and performance targets.
  • Work with Advanced Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Teams to ensure supplier and launch readiness through successful prototype builds, lessons learned, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Work with external Vehicle OEM partners and internal Product Management, Commercial, and Engineering teams to develop program proposals, resource, and budget estimates.
  • Assist vehicle team technical leads in maintaining their Jira plan with regard to mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems teams.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in product and program management of highly complex products.
  • Hands-on experience using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, PLM, and ERP tools.
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle with stage gate approach.
  • Handled multi-million dollar projects with 100+ cross-functional team members including HW and SW.
  • Understanding of V Cycle of product development.
  • Understanding of execution methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.) and the ability to tailor them based on program needs.
Nice to Have:
  • Understanding of Robotics and Warehouse automation.
  • Knowledge of sensors, cameras, and LIDARs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Benefits and Perks:
  • A once-in-a-career opportunity to build alongside colleagues who deeply care (plus robots that aren't bad, either).
  • Competitive salary and stock options.
  • Generous healthcare options.
  • 401k match.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Other perks that connect us, including lunch on Fridays, team building activities, and more.

We make robots that work. We envision a world where robots serve as a human multiplier for dull and dangerous work. The warehousing industry sees more than 52,000 cases of injuries every year in the US. Our first product is an automated trailer unloader (forklift) that quickly demonstrates measurable value to our customers by both improving efficiency while also increasing safety.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
