Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Engineer to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of specialist equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze product, process, and technology to determine the best methods of manufacture.
  • Support preventative maintenance on new and existing tooling.
  • Implement best practices, lessons learned, and support manufacturing innovations.
  • Troubleshoot special maintenance and equipment problems.
  • Assist in obtaining resources to effectively maintain and perform operations.
  • Stay ahead of current product, procedure, and technical developments and trends in areas of manufacturing expertise (Stamping).
  • Support/Lead project activity as required.
  • Assist in the design and building of tools and equipment or recommend improvements to existing processes.
Requirements
  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Machine Technology, or tool and die program.
  • Must be graduating between August 2024 and June 2025.
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Willing to work in a plant environment.
  • Willing to work on any shift and able to rotate shifts based on schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities, or service organizations.
  • Prior internship experience.
  • Effectively connect with cross shifts.
  • Supporting production line.
  • Interfacing with hourly workforce.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed.
  • Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directed.
  • Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

The salary range for this role is $81,000 - $89,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
