Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Universal Banker/Teller to join our team at First Mid Bank & Trust. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and promoting banking products to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by resolving customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process transactions with accuracy and efficiency, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to identify growth opportunities and cross-sell banking products.
  • Stay up-to-date on banking products and services to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Work collaboratively with branch management to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a cash drawer and perform daily balancing procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
  • Open and manage customer accounts, including checking, savings, and safe deposit boxes.
  • Participate in bank promotions and community events to promote First Mid Bank & Trust.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Previous sales experience and knowledge of banking products a plus.
