Reservation Agent Job Overview

As a Reservation Agent with Sage Hospitality, you will be the first point of contact for guests and associates alike, providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to telephone inquiries and reservation requests, providing accurate and timely information and service.
  • Use selling techniques to make reservations that support the hotel's selling strategies and maximize yield opportunities.
  • Negotiate rates and upsell rooms to increase occupancy and revenue.
  • Promote the hotel and its services to capture customers and increase revenue.
  • Operate the reservations system, entering and accessing data to provide callers with accurate information.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date reports on daily and monthly room reservation information to assist management with forecasting, tracking, and staffing.
  • Enter special room requests into the computer system and alert front desk staff to ensure department follow-through and guest satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on all local and hotel functions and services to efficiently respond to telephone inquiries.
  • Input group and tour reservations as received from the sales department to best utilize hotel facilities and maximize revenue.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Basic customer service skills and PC operation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
