Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Oral Surgery of New Mexico - Roswell. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient service and support to the dental team
  • Assist with patient preparation, including welcoming patients and preparing them for treatment
  • Help maintain a clean and organized dental room, including sterilizing instruments and restocking supplies
  • Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry and provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
  • Assist with payment procedures and maintain a positive patient experience
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
  • Active state radiology license (if required by law)
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
  • Good computer skills and excellent communication and people skills
