Endoscopy Technician

Job Summary

At Dartmouth Health, we are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will assist physicians and nurses in the outpatient procedural setting with endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-the-job training to assist physicians and nurses with various GI procedures, including colonoscopies and upper GI procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms for cases, assist physicians during procedures, and maintain clean examination areas by setting up rooms and cleaning instruments after cases.
• Ensure the proper functioning of equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting.
• Process specimen handling and scope reprocessing as needed.
• Maintain inventory par levels in procedure rooms, restock endoscopy-related supplies, and monitor expiration dates.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and coordinate work.
• Function independently and as a member of a team in a high-stress environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills required.

Required Licensure/Certifications

- Obtain BLS certification within six months of employment.- Maintain BLS certification at all times.- Currently registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians
