Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Extraction Technician. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction, executing extraction and processing in accordance with state and local standards, and operating sophisticated extraction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of equipment and plant materials for extraction
  2. Execution of extraction and processing in accordance with state and local standards
  3. Operation of sophisticated extraction equipment
  4. Ensure consistency and efficiency of product through quality control testing and procedures
  5. Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and manufacturing facility
  6. Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals, and equipment used in the facility
  7. Oversee day-to-day operations of the entire extraction space beginning with storing the raw cannabis through the extraction process and all the way to fulfillment of orders
  8. Operating, maintaining, and making adjustments and repairs to extraction equipment
  9. Storing supplies and equipment and disposal of waste according to guidelines
  10. Complete the cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment, work surfaces, and tools
  11. Maintaining inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment and preparing requisitions as needed
  12. Maintaining material safety data sheets for all chemicals and products
  13. Following all standard operating procedures regarding product creation and lab safety
  14. Assist in packaging and labeling of finished products
  15. Works with testing laboratory as defined by state guidelines
  16. All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV)
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
  • Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
  • Able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
  • Able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
