About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct independent medical evaluations for veterans. This role is focused on objective assessments, reviewing medical records, and completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to support the VA's disability benefits process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze veterans' comprehensive medical records through a secure online portal
  • Conduct thorough, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions
  • Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings
  • Ensure timely submission of DBQs within 24 hours of the assessment
  • Assess up to four veterans daily
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered
  • Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential

Schedule
