The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychology or sociology, with 2-3 years of experience as a Psychiatric Technician or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in Human Services is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the nursing care of mentally ill patients by implementing various types of psychiatric treatment plans

- Implement group interventions and participate in planning conferences

- Develop and coordinate health care services across the continuum, demonstrating problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Collaborate with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to deliver quality services

- Participate in unit-based research and quality improvement initiatives, involving data collection and documentation of patient and family services

- Perform other duties as assigned by Registered Nurse

Requirements:

- AAS degree in Psychology or Sociology, or related field, and 2-3 years recent Psychiatric Technician experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
