Medical Stroke Program Coordinator

">Albany Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Registered Nurse to fill the role of Medical Stroke Program Coordinator. This position plays a vital part in advancing the organization's goals related to stroke care and management.
">Estimated Salary: $93,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
">About the Role:
">In this leadership position, you will establish relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals within the community. You will collaborate with neuro-endovascular physicians, unit staff, and other team members to develop and improve interdepartmental processes impacting the stroke program.
">Main Responsibilities:
">- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, orders sets, plans of care, teaching materials, and documentation for the stroke program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission, New York State Department of Health, and American Heart Association.
">- Provide expertise in interdepartmental planning and process development/improvement to achieve overall organizational goals related to stroke program advancement.
">- Act as a clinical resource and educator for staff, patients, outside hospitals, EMS services, and the community.
">- Serve as a leader in creating and maintaining a Comprehensive Stroke Program in the community.
">Requirements:
">- A registered professional nurse (RPN) degree and current licensure.
">- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
">- Experience in stroke care or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
