As a Software Engineer III in Google's Cloud Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in developing the next-generation technologies that power our cloud services.
You will work on designing, developing, and deploying large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and networks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality solutions.
With a strong background in software development, data structures, and algorithms, you will be responsible for writing high-quality code, participating in design reviews, and contributing to existing documentation and educational content.
You will also be expected to triage product or system issues, debug and resolve problems, and analyze sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Responsibilities- Write product or system development code
- Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++ programming language or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields
- 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging
- Experience developing accessible technologies
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering

CompensationThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
