Sales Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Clerk to join our team at the Coast Guard Community Services Command. As a Sales Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining product knowledge, and assisting with the selection of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain product knowledge and provide information to customers about our products and services.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Replenish stock and maintain merchandise in a neat and presentable condition.
• Participate in taking inventories and performing periodic stock counts.
• Advise supervisor/department head of customer requests and concerns.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature.
• Ability to count, subtract, multiply, and divide for stocking and inventory purposes.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience.
