**Job Title:** School Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled School Nurse Specialist to join our team at Cabarrus Health Alliance.

**Salary Range:** $65,000 - $85,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a focus on public health and school health. Our School Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to students, as well as promoting healthy behaviors and practices throughout the school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide illness and injury assessments, planning, interventions, and follow-up care to students.
  • Maintain, evaluate, and interpret cumulative health data to accommodate individual needs of students.
  • Facilitate health promotion and disease prevention education and activities in the school setting.
  • Initiate referrals to parents, school staff, and community resources as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between school/home and community.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a degree in nursing that includes a Public Health Nursing rotation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in school health, public health, home health, emergency department, or pediatrics.
  • A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and current CPR certification.
