Solar Construction Project Manager

The Solar Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing construction and staff for solar projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and high customer satisfaction. This role will manage relationships with sub-contractors, provide detailed status reports to management, and travel to job sites as needed.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Construction Project Manager or Superintendent with a Solar EPC/Installation firm, handling commercial or multifamily projects.
  • Ability to successfully manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Detailed knowledge of PV & energy storage system design, site selection, construction, and commissioning processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, etc.).
  • Prior experience with project management software, preferably SmartSheet.
  • Familiarity with solar and battery incentive programs.

Location: Remote in the U.S.A., close proximity to a major airport

Travel: 50%

Reports to: National Construction Manager

Skill Level: Intermediate

Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field

Areas of Expertise: People Management, Construction Management, Project Management, Communications, General Contracting, Solar Installation

Compensation: $100,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal support staff to efficiently complete Solar installation projects, including rooftop and ground mount systems.
  • Develop and maintain on-time schedule, budget, and quality requirements for all projects.
  • Maintain regular communications with clients and contractors to address concerns and provide status updates.
  • Travel to job sites to ensure project starts, progresses, and completes according to contractual obligations.
  • Provide direct assistance to internal staff for coordination, planning, scheduling, subcontracting, and scope clarifications.
  • Supply regular status reports to ICAST Management.

Initial Goals:
  • Complete the ICAST onboarding process within 1 week of start date and training program within 30 days of start.
  • Assume the Solar Project Manager role for existing and new projects within 30 days of start date.
