Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Wellbeing Specialist to support the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of our students in Bridgewater.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position with 35 hours per week, requiring a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a School Social Worker or in a similar capacity.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide direct services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution. They will also conduct assessments, collaborate with teachers and parents, and develop intervention plans to promote positive mental health and social skills among students.

  • Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to address behavioral, emotional, and social issues affecting students' academic performance.
  • Act as a liaison between the school, community organizations, and external agencies to connect students and families with necessary resources and support.
  • Develop and implement preventive programs and initiatives to promote positive mental health, social skills, and resilience among students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with special needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, coordinate services, and develop strategies for student success.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student interactions, assessments, and interventions.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license/certification as a School Social Worker (if required by the state).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and understand the unique needs of students from various backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing challenges.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on national averages for School Social Workers in the United States.
