Job SummaryAs an Environmental Services Operations Manager at Crothall Healthcare, you will play a critical role in directing and overseeing the operational needs of our Housekeeping Department. You will coordinate tasks with front-line staff, serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments, and provide exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and annually review standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff.
- Plan work schedules and staffing levels to ensure adequate services are rendered.
- Assist in the hiring process, including interviewing, hiring, and training new associates.
- Orient, develop, and supervise all supervisory/housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular inspections and make recommendations to the facility.
- Prepare monthly reports on goals, accomplishments, and future plans.
- Provide staff education and training.
- Communicate effectively with staff, administration, and other departments.
- Coordinate outside services, such as Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, and Recycling programs.
- A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- At least one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related field with high customer/client contact is required.
- Demonstrated progressive growth in health care housekeeping or facility maintenance is preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations is required.
- The ability to multi-task and establish priorities is essential.
- The ability to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment is necessary.
- Initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership skills are required.
- A thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures is preferred.
- The ability to work an evening shift Monday-Friday, with a weekend and holiday rotation, is required.
- Willingness to work a 10-hour day on a regular basis is necessary.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
