Job Summary

Phillips Academy is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Assistant Director, Family Giving and Engagement. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and cultivate relationships with families, with the goal of increasing annual fund support and participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive family giving and engagement strategy, including the development of marketing and communications materials.
  • Manage a portfolio of parent and grandparent prospects, with a focus on soliciting leadership annual fund gifts.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director and Advancement Communications team to plan and manage successful cultivation and recognition programs.
  • Partner with colleagues on the team and in the Office of Alumni Engagement to plan and manage events and programs that promote family giving and engagement.
  • Support the Associate Director in the Family Giving program's volunteer management, Andover Fund Parents Committee communications, assignments, and engagement programs.
  • Assist the Director in the Parent Advancement Council program, including targeted engagement programs and communications.
  • Participate in all on-campus family events and travels as needed for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship visits, meetings, and events.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced institution or professional setting, preferably academic.
  • Experience in nonprofit/education fundraising preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
