Transforming Communities through Strategic Water Infrastructure Management

The Flatiron Construction Corp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our water infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of technically complex projects that build stronger, more resilient communities.

Your expertise will drive success, ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish. You will manage budgets, coordinate project personnel, and maintain production schedules to guarantee timely delivery and exceptional quality.

In this role, you will collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to align project goals with owner expectations, adhering to contract specifications and upholding the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage all aspects of the project, including construction, budget, and cash management, ensuring alignment with project contracts and owner requirements.
  • Scheduling and Estimation: Develop and manage project schedules, pay estimates, procedures, staffing needs, and equipment resources to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Contract Review and Conflict Resolution: Review initial project contracts and supporting documents for completeness and collaborate with the owner to resolve any specification, contract conflicts, and scheduling issues.
  • Leadership and Communication: Lead engineering and scheduling teams to identify and negotiate proposed change orders, with support from the Area Manager as needed.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare and present monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to Flatiron leadership.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong working relationships with Flatiron supporting departments and the project owner to support the project work plan and payment schedule.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for all third-party stakeholders, including landowners, local business owners, and government agencies involved in the project.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure project safety by conducting weekly safety checks, participating in safety meetings, and supporting both project and owner safety programs.
  • Staffing and Equipment Management: Approve staffing and equipment needs to ensure efficient and effective project production.
  • Dispute Resolution: Participate in the dispute resolution process with support from internal legal counsel.
  • Project Closeout: Lead project closeout procedures, finalize contract paperwork, obtain retainages, and work with management to resolve any project claims.
  • Debrief and Lessons Learned: Conduct project debriefs to review all aspects of project work and completion.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 15+ years' experience in construction project management required; 10+ years' experience in managing personnel required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years' water/wastewater treatment plant construction project experience preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field a plus.
  • Skills: Proven experience in bid-build, CMCG, design-build, and other alternative delivery projects required; valid driver's license; strong interpersonal skills; strong proven skill to identify, track, and manage project risk.
  • Soft Skills: Proven ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple departments and direct reports to retain focus on one project completion goal and timeline; proven ability to identify growth opportunities for project personnel and develop to coach and mentor project personnel.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary: USD $200,000.00/Yr - USD $235,000.00/Yr (dependent on qualifications and experience).
