Human Resources Assistant

The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department, maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. This role will also involve answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees, conducting new hire orientation, and performing periodic audits of HR files and records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
• Conduct new hire orientation and provide clerical support to the HR department.
• Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
• Assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
• Assist with planning and execution of special events, such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Requirements:
• Associate's degree in a related field and at least one to two years of office-related experience.
• HR Certificate or college degree in HR is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage confidential information.
