Patient Coordinator Job Summary



We are seeking a skilled Patient Coordinator to join our team at Option 1 Staffing Services, Inc.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Act as the first point of contact for patients, physicians, vendors, and visitors, providing a welcoming and supportive environment.

  • Greet and assist patients with initial questions regarding appointments, payments, schedules, and other inquiries.

  • Manage multi-line phone calls, screening, and routing, taking messages for clinic staff and physicians as needed.

  • Verify and authorize necessary information before patients see providers, ensuring seamless care delivery.

  • Communicate with providers regarding scheduling preferences and respond to urgent patient needs in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Provide doctor-patient support using reference documents and tools, ensuring accurate and effective care.

  • Perform various administrative tasks, including maintaining information, paging directory databases, and processing internal forms.

  • Utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records systems to perform assigned job tasks, staying up-to-date with the latest technology.

  • Answer non-clinical patient messages, escalating where appropriate to ensure patient satisfaction and care.

Qualifications:





  • Minimum 2 years of directly related work experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

  • Experience working with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems is preferred.

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
