Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
About the Role:
CMTA Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing systems of buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors.
- Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers.
- Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
- Confer with other engineers and other personnel to implement operation procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements.
- Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
- Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience with MEP design.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
- PE registration is required.
- Experience with internal and external project management.
- Experience in MEP design and specifications.
- Experience with managing, maintaining and creating Owner and Architect relationships.
- Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors.
- Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.
