About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Axos Bank. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct loan level documentation reviews and transactional testing on all lending products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess the effectiveness of our compliance program and develop new or enhance existing test approaches to increase its effectiveness.
  • Prepare written reports detailing observations and recommendations for corrections, and facilitate discussions with Business Unit Managers and Senior Leadership.
  • Work with affected business units to accomplish remediation and appropriate training as required.
  • Participate in the continual review and improvement of compliance oversight programs for lending products offered by the Bank.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in banking, mortgage banking, audit, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
