Nurse Leader and Patient Advocate

As a Registered Nurse at Prisma Health, you will serve as the Chief Administrative Officer in the absence of Hospital Administrative Staff. Your primary responsibility will be to interface with all departments to solve problems and ensure effective communication.
The ideal candidate will have three years of Nursing experience and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. In lieu of the BSN requirement, a nursing diploma or an Associate's Degree in Nursing may be considered if the applicant signs a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to enroll in an accredited BSN or MSN program within one year and obtain a BSN or MSN degree within four years.
Key responsibilities include making rounds on all units to support nursing and help problem solve by coaching and mentoring Charge Nurses and staff RNs. You will also work with the Resource Staffing Department to help stabilize core staffing levels throughout the hospital and collaborate with the Customer Service Department to resolve customer service-related issues involving Nursing.
In addition, you will respond to and manage patient/family and physician complaints, resolving immediate issues and documenting incidents for follow-up. You will also work with Employee Health and Infection Control to provide support in enforcing policies and procedures regarding patients and staff, i.e., blood body fluid exposure, TB screenings, etc.
This is a non-management job that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The salary range for this position is approximately $73,000-$93,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Requirements
