Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge Leader

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and licensed pharmacist to fill the role of Pharmacist in Charge at Cogdell Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, interpreting physician prescriptions, and dispensing medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform job responsibilities in accordance with organization and departmental policies, procedures, performance improvement objectives, environmental and infection control standards, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Review and update medication profiles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in cost-effective use and selection of pharmaceuticals, communicating drug information to physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in patient and family education, counseling regarding drug therapy and side effects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is required.
  • One (1) year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
