Occupational Therapist

">About the Opportunity:
">California Healthcare Clinical Employee is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at our Vallejo clinic. We are an outpatient clinic providing a wide range of services, including post-operative, neck & spine rehabilitation, and hand therapy.
">We are looking for a therapist who has experience (or interest) in hand therapy and upper extremities. CHT certification is not required. We offer individualized mentorship and development for those interested in becoming a certified hand therapist.
">As an Occupational Therapist at California Healthcare Clinical Employee, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to our mission of providing expert care in the areas of orthopedic and sports injuries.
">Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with upper extremity conditions">
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility">
  • Provide specialized therapy for a variety of conditions, including post-surgical recovery, traumatic injuries, repetitive use disorders, and chronic conditions">
  • Design and prefabricated or custom orthoses and splints">
  • Provide manual therapy techniques and advanced modalities">
  • Collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), ensuring quality care and adherence to treatment plans">
  • Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and strategies for optimal recovery">
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using our state-of-the-art EMR system">
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current on best practices and research">

  • Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum approved by the licensing board">
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational or Physical Therapist">
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred">
  • Minimum of 1–2 years in outpatient therapy with a focus on upper extremity rehabilitation preferred">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams">
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion">
