Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Event Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events, including banquets, conferences, and weddings. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

The Event Operations Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Transporting and dismantling tables, chairs, and other furnishings according to event specifications;
  • Ensuring all banquet and conference rooms are clean and functional before and after events;
  • Maintaining an inventory of various supplies to prevent loss or damage;
  • Responding promptly to requests from event coordinators and attendees;
  • Installing and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment;
  • Supporting team members from other departments to ensure all hotel operations run efficiently;
  • Assisting in the preparation of food and beverage service as needed;
  • Adhering to safety and sanitation policies and procedures;

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A flexible schedule with availability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays;
  • Comfortable working outdoors in adverse conditions, if needed;
  • The ability to resolve minor technical issues with AV and office equipment (preferred but not required);
  • Experience in a similar role (customer service, catering, etc.) (preferred but not required);
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong time management and sense of urgency to ensure critical deadlines are met;
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.) and perform physical tasks throughout a full shift;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal;
  • Follows instructions with a high level of accuracy;

Compensation

The salary for this role is estimated at $17 per hour, based on industry standards and requirements.
