Job Title: Neonatal Care Specialist

Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking an experienced Neonatal Care Specialist to join a leading healthcare facility in Atlanta, Georgia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering expert care to critically ill newborns, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex neonatal cases, and ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to high-risk neonates in collaboration with neonatologists and other healthcare providers.
  • Perform physical assessments, diagnose and treat neonatal conditions, and manage the care of critically ill newborns in the NICU.
  • Educate and support families, ensuring they understand the treatment plan and have access to necessary resources.
  • Implement and manage care plans for neonatal patients, including monitoring progress and adjusting treatment as needed.
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure a continuum of care from birth to discharge, following best practices and guidelines in neonatology.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on Neonatal Care.
  • Current certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) and licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Georgia.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatal care, including experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU.
  • Strong understanding of neonatal pathophysiology and the ability to manage critical neonatal conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support families and collaborate with the healthcare team.
