Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Mountain View High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, administration, and direct support of the WSU Tri-Cities- GEAR UP project at the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct services to students, including planning, preparation, and leadership participation in group activities and workshops.
  • Coordinate and communicate with school administrators, teachers, staff, parents, students, and colleges, community members, organizations, and businesses.
  • Represent the university as the primary liaison to the partner schools and their communities, implementing GEAR UP goals and objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, university, and grant regulations.
  • Supervise administrative professional and temporary/hourly staff, manage an operating budget, and provide local leadership in program development and evaluation.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or a related field.
  • Experience leading or directing the work of others.
  • A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.
  • Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tutoring, academic, and counseling programming.
  • Experience supervising subordinate staff.
  • Experience managing a government grant program in a middle or high school setting.
  • Experience developing and managing a budget.
  • Experience coordinating events and field trips for students.
  • Experience working with college readiness programs.
  • Professional first-hand experience motivating students of low-income or disadvantaged youth.
  • Bilingual/Bi-literate in English and Spanish.
Additional Information

This is a temporary, full-time position with a work location in Vancouver, WA. The successful candidate will be required to travel overnight and work a flexible schedule, including frequent nights and weekends.
