We offer a competitive hourly rate of $ $120-$150 per hour, depending on experience, for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role.

Job Description

As a PMHNP with DirectShifts, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health care to diverse populations. Your expertise will be utilized to assess, diagnose, and treat various psychiatric conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans, conduct therapy sessions, and prescribe medications as needed. Your commitment to promoting mental wellness and ability to connect with patients will be essential in fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions
  • Implement and monitor the effectiveness of prescribed medications and treatments
  • Collaborate with head psychiatrist and other team members to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Offer therapeutic support, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention when appropriate
  • Provide consultation services to new patients or families seeking services
  • Actively participate in community outreach to promote mental health awareness
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Active NP license in the state of California
  • 1 to 2 years of Psychiatric-Mental Health experience (preferred)
  • Active DEA registration
