About the Role:

The Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty in Bowie, MD is seeking a full-time Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members

Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing patients, maintaining asepsis, and monitoring anesthesia

Obtain and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and stool

Administer medications and fluids as prescribed by veterinarians

Monitor patients under anesthesia and provide critical care as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency and critical care setting

Demonstrated excellence in nursing care and critical thinking skills

Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and limited on-call duties

Strong desire to learn and grow in the role
