House Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Supervisor to join our team at Universal Health Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a mental health or chemical dependency based program of nursing and other clinical services on a unit. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all staff members deliver care in accordance with Standards of Care and Practice.
- Implement unit policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
- Responsible for unit compliance with Joint Commission, TRICARE, HCFA, state and Federal regulatory standards.
- Responsible for unit compliance with the Patient Rights standards.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement.
- Assist in developing staffing schedules in accordance with patient needs and facility census.
- Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
- Ensure Infection Control and Safety and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
- Coordinate, maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by nursing services.
- Report all critical incidents to the Administrator on Call (AOC), Risk Manager, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and communicate incident to oncoming supervisor; conduct investigations and implement corrective action plans when needed.
- Participate in peer review committee and quality improvement activities and is responsible for the effectiveness of the unit quality improvement program.
- Monitor medical records for appropriate documentation of care and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with case management to ensure patients receive timely and quality care.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of three years clinical experience and/or managerial, supervisory or leadership experience required or a combination of both.
- Active and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or LPN.
- Trained in Non-violent crisis intervention training and CPR prior to accepting independent assignment or released from orientation.
- Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with teenage and adult patient populations.
