Job SummaryAs Director of Talent Management, you'll be a key talent leader on our multi-disciplined People & Culture team, overseeing employee relations, HR policy, performance management, learning and development, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging programs. You'll work closely with the VP of People & Culture to build trust with stakeholders across SEO and ensure business partners contribute to developing organization-wide talent management initiatives.
Responsibilities- Serve as an HR expert and trusted advisor to senior leaders, collaborating with department heads to address current and future talent management needs.
- Lead and manage two People & Culture Business Partners, coaching and developing them in their roles and accountabilities.
- Serve as the People & Culture Business Partner to central teams, modeling SEO's core values and customer service orientation.
- Own the assessment and enhancement of SEO's Employee Handbook and other policies relevant to the employee experience and lifecycle.
- Oversee all employee investigations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Manage key compliance areas impacting employee experience, including work authorization, employee handbook, and ADA accommodations.
- Provide training and coaching to People & Culture Business Partners in conflict resolution, mediation facilitation, problem-solving, and negotiation.
- Research and analyze best practices and trends in employee relations, employment law, performance management, DEIB, adult learning, and career pathways.
- Manage the performance management and talent development process for all SEO employees, including policy development, communications, training, supporting resources, and compliance.
- Provide oversight of performance management system implementation and maintenance, managing vendor relationships and configuring the system.
- Identify year-over-year opportunities to enhance or redesign talent management processes to better support employee growth and organizational culture goals.
- Partner with Total Rewards colleagues to effectively manage employee rewards and align with the annual performance management cycle.
- Apply expertise in organizational change and large-scale program management to ensure talent management initiatives are aligned with business strategies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years in an HR Generalist role with progressive responsibility and autonomy.
- Direct experience within a nonprofit organization is desired.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience required.
- HR certification is required, along with formal training and working knowledge of current and changing labor laws and employment best practices within the United States.
- Direct experience navigating and managing employee information in HR systems, technical proficiency in MS Office, cloud-based applications, project management tools, and employee communications and engagement tools.
- Knowledge and experience with designing and executing DEIB practices that support employees of all identities.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced Excel.

Our estimated salary range for this position is $113,700 - $129,900, commensurate with experience.
