About the Role: Financial Specialist

The Financial Specialist will assume a leadership position within their area of expertise, collaborating with various levels of management to achieve business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities to lead entire processes, document best practices, and recommend improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Eco Forecast and quarterly 18-month rolling forecast creation
  • Leading and managing entire processes from assumption gathering to final presentation decks
  • Documenting and maintaining processes for efficiency
  • Developing recommendations for process improvements and implementations
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to address technical issues and contribute to strategic planning
  • Creating proformas for major enterprise projects and finance decks
  • Participating in financial review meetings and contributing to finance committee discussions
  • Supporting rating agency interactions and board retreats
  • Managing FTEs and implementing margin initiatives
  • Benchmarking and deep analytics at the hospital level

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and analytical ability
  • Proficiency in Excel and healthcare experience (a plus)
  • Creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Comfort interacting with upper management and excellent communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, or 6 years of relevant experience with a master's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification (accounting)
