Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our team at State Farm. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial. Competitive candidates will demonstrate an exceptional knowledge of civil procedure along with evidence and trial procedures. The selected candidate will possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and will be well organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload.
The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend some time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.
The selected candidate should plan to spend time working both in the Westchester office and from home (if desired) as part of a hybrid work arrangement. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.

Key qualifications include a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school, an active license to practice law in New York, and 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience. The selected candidate will also have experience working in a paperless environment, directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling, and strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation.
The potential salary range is $125,625.00-$160,000.00 (starting salary will be based on background and experience), and potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary (results may vary from year to year).
