{"Job Title": "Deputy Chief of Training", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief of Training to join our Fire Department team at Idaho National Laboratory. As a key member of our training division, you will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of training programs to ensure that our personnel are well-equipped to handle a full spectrum of hazards.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the activities of a department or a discipline through subordinate supervisors and/or professionals.
* Provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
* Execute financials, business planning, organizational priorities, and workforce.
* Ensure that budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
* Typically manage employees who perform similar tasks.
* Receive objective-based assignments and determine resources to meet schedules and goals.
* Responsible for single-function, location, and/or technical discipline.
* Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect department or multiple disciplines.
* Participate in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the department and possibly the division.
* Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group professionals, involving matters between sections and multiple units.
* Partner with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other external stakeholders.
* Communicate and present results and recommendations across discipline.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience OR 15 years of experience in lieu of degree.
* At least two years of leadership/management experience is required.
* International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) Instructor 1 and Fire Officer 1 required.
* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy \"L\" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
