Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant 2, you will provide high-quality support to healthcare providers and patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assist healthcare providers with patient care, administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to healthcare providers, patients, and staff to expedite patient flow, telephone communications, and quality patient care.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and specimen collection.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, preparing records, and maintaining accurate financial data.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary certificate or degree in medical assisting or a related field preferred.
  • 6 months of experience in a clinical setting required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Work Schedule

Full-time, regular position with a 1.0 FTE schedule.

Location: Memorial-MSOB, Charleston, WV.
