Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Physical Therapist in our hospital-based outpatient sports/orthopedic setting, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with disabilities, injuries, and/or diseases using physical, chemical, and mechanical means.
- Administer direct patient care in accordance with the written and signed prescription of the referring physician or other State authorized practitioner.
- Design a treatment program to achieve established goals and make accurate observations of patient tolerance and/or status during treatment.
- Respond appropriately to established department emergency procedures for patient safety and care, when necessary.
- Submit required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department.
- Participate in quality improvement chart reviews and activities.
- Attend family meetings/conferences and interact with members of the inter-disciplinary staff pertaining to the welfare and management of assigned patients.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree required (Doctor of Physical Therapy degree preferred), or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $79,880-$136,340/year. Northwell Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
