About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse to collaborate with our interdisciplinary teams at the University of California, Irvine.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with patients and their families to develop and implement personalized plans of care, evaluating outcomes and making necessary revisions. This role also involves acting as a mentor and role model for new nurses, while functioning as a Patient Care Coordinator when required.

Responsibilities:

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing plans of care for assigned patients, evaluating patient outcomes, and revising plans as necessary. Additionally, this role involves acting as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses, and functioning as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of six months of demonstrated nursing experience
  • A minimum 1 year of experience working in a direct patient care position in a Psychiatric inpatient or outpatient setting
  • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within 30 days of hire
  • All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Licenses and Certifications:

  • RN
  • BLS

Compensation:

This position offers an estimated annual salary of $80,000 - $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
