About the Role

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to fill the Procurement Officer position in Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of complex purchasing processes for goods and services
  • Advice on supply and equipment selection for departments
  • Management of vendor contracts within budgetary limitations

Job Duties:

  1. Purchasing process optimization to meet departmental needs
  2. Bid comparison analysis for acceptable vendors
  3. Review of requisitions for accuracy and processing orders with vendors
  4. New vendor onboarding, purchase order management, and invoice processing
  5. Coordination of overdue order resolution and unfulfilled contract obligations
  6. Purchasing procedure training for the Athletics department
  7. Timely payment processing and adherence to NCAA guidelines

Requirements and Qualifications

A strong organizational skillset, ability to work with multiple stakeholders, and proficiency in purchasing processes are essential for this role. A competitive salary range is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
