Certified Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Bone Marrow Transplant Team at UNC Health Care. As a certified nurse in this specialty, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to adult patients undergoing transplant for hematologic cancers, solid tumors, metabolic diseases, and blood disorders.
Estimated Salary Range:$73,811 - $94,729 per year (based on experience)
Responsibilities and RequirementsThis is a 36-hour per week position with day/night and weekend rotation. Self-scheduling will be used to meet the individual and department needs. The ideal candidate will have recently graduated from nursing school or have less than 6 months of experience as an RN. A year-long residency program supporting transition from academia to practice for new graduate nurses is also offered.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. This includes identifying expected patient outcomes, participating in education programs based on identified learning needs, and using patient education materials relevant to the patient population.
The responsibilities of this position include evaluating patient care, implementing care according to patient/family needs, leading by example, assessing discharge needs of individual patients and families, and developing relationships with families that promote their ability to advocate for the patient and their own needs.

Qualifications and SkillsA successful candidate will possess a graduation from a school of professional nursing and be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification is also required. No prior experience is necessary, but having worked as an RN for less than 6 months is preferred.
