About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who share your passion for providing top-notch care to patients of all ages. As a Dental Care Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various dental conditions, including cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay. You will also provide preventive dentistry counseling, evaluate nutritional status, and offer personalized oral hygiene advice to patients.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Makes visual examination of the patient's teeth and surrounding oral structures using X-rays, mouth mirror, explorers, instruments, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Enters findings on a dental chart and in the patient's medical record, deciding upon and carrying out the most feasible plan of treatment.
  • Provides preventive dentistry counseling, evaluation of nutritional status, and oral hygiene habits of patients.
  • Lociates and repairs cavities in teeth, extracts impacted, infected, or otherwise diseased or troublesome teeth, or performs root canal work.
  • Advises patients about dental health practices, assisted by a dental hygienist, dental assistant, or dental laboratory technician as needed.
  • Consults with heads of other patient care services in planning dental treatment to coordinate patient problems.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry or related field.
  • D.D.S or D.M.D. from an approved dental school.
  • New York State License to practice dentistry.
  • CPR/BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Dentistry or related field.
  • Specialty board certification.
