Overview:
As a Respiratory Therapist at Mercy, you will perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Perform duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
You must be a graduate of an approved AMA school for Respiratory Therapy and hold a current temporary or permanent license (LRCP) from the applicable State of practice. You should have a working knowledge of all Respiratory Care procedures and modalities, including Critical Care and Blood Gas analysis. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is also required. Preferred qualifications include additional college education, experience working in a hospital environment, and certifications such as NRP, PALS, and ACLS.
