Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Coordinator to join our team at FrankCrum, a leading Professional Employer Organization (PEO) based in Clearwater, Florida.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. As a Payroll Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth implementation and processing of new accounts, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct welcome calls with new clients to confirm essential information for setup.
  • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of Paid Time Off policies and assist clients in setting up their accrual policies.
  • Apply advanced payroll rules and calculations, including premium overtime pay, tips, certified, job costing, piecework, and multi-state workers, in current systems.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for additional services such as health benefits, timekeeping, COIs, applicant tracking, employment handbooks, etc.
  • Assist clients with questions regarding pricing, contractual obligations, or additional services.
  • Educate clients on FLSA, state, and local payroll rules and regulations.
  • Review and process employee maintenance with accuracy and completeness, adhering to FrankCrum, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws regarding wage and hour topics.
  • Familiarity with various moderately complex payroll processing methods.
  • Experience performing intermediate-level functions in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • One year of payroll processing or PEO experience.
  • A high school education or equivalent is required; Payroll Certifications (CPP or FPC) are a plus.
