Controls Engineer

Corning Incorporated is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Controls Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems for our fiber optic cable production plant. Your expertise in Allen Bradley PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and electrical design practices will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement control systems for our fiber optic cable production plant.
- Develop and modify Allen Bradley PLC programs to meet project requirements.
- Interface with external system integrators to deliver fully integrated process equipment systems.
- Participate in all phases of project development, including design, fabrication, installation, and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing with PLCs/HMIs/VFDs controlling process and automation equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical design practices, machine/motion control systems, and communication protocols.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems programming and Allen Bradley ControlLogix v20 systems or higher.

- Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with OSI PI (historian) interface and Beckhoff PLC.
