Job Description

University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinical Social Worker III to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide therapeutic intervention and advanced social work services to patients and their families to enhance comprehensive, integrated, and uninterrupted care across the care continuum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management, therapeutic crisis intervention, biopsychosocial assessment, therapy, and counseling services within your practice area.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of available community resources to address the diverse needs of patients, groups, and families.
  • Use your understanding of the social determinants of health and clinical best practices to identify interventions for patients that enhance their functioning within their psychosocial environment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure care plans are culturally sensitive and address physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of care.
  • Provide clinical supervision, under a written contract required by the Board of Social Work Examiners, for licensed social workers seeking required supervision.

Requirements:

  • Maryland state Social Work licensure and credentials as a Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C) is required.
  • Two years of applicable experience in a Behavioral Health setting is preferred.
  • Three years applicable social work experience is required.
