Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Coordinator role is essential in maintaining the flow of information within our clinic. This position requires a personable and detail-oriented individual who can assist in various clerical tasks necessary for office efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced candidate with excellent communication and organizational skills to join our team as a Telecommunications Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for answering and directing calls, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the accuracy of client information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer all incoming calls and efficiently relay them to appropriate staff members, ensuring effective communication within the clinic.
• Screen customer contacts for service needs, including crisis situations, and process calls accordingly.
• Schedule and cancel client appointments accurately on a daily basis while maintaining clear records of cancellations.
• Verify demographic information each time clients check-in, ensuring accuracy in address, phone number, and insurance information.
• Perform clerical tasks related to office functionality, including sending appointment letters and reminders, filing, and entering information into tracking systems.
• Utilize various websites and software systems to verify client insurance eligibility and referral sources.

Requirements:

Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED. Preferred previous customer service experience. Must successfully complete a background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check. Ability to work with computers and possess excellent typing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills are essential.
