Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer Senior to join our team at PDS Tech Commercial. This role is responsible for providing work direction to technicians, ensuring completion of tasks within allotted time frames, and coordinating with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient workflow processes, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity.
  • Design, install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members, promoting innovation and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and techniques, staying up-to-date with industry advancements and trends.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the organization.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or related field, or four years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
