Business Development Strategist

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Strategist to join our team at AFS Logistics. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while building and nurturing relationships with potential clients.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, particularly in the transportation industry. They will possess strong consultative sales experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage and influence C-level decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:- Prospecting: Take the lead in identifying and pursuing new clients for AFS services within the assigned region, with a strong emphasis on cold calling and networking.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement targeted strategies to penetrate new markets and acquire multimodal/multiservice opportunities.
- Lead Generation: Actively generate leads through cold calling, attending industry trade shows, networking events, and leveraging referrals.
- Client Engagement: Conduct thorough research to understand prospective clients' needs and tailor sales approaches accordingly.
- Experience: 5 years or more of Transportation experience in multiple modes, with a minimum of 3 years' business development experience with third-party or contract logistics.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
