We are seeking an experienced Boiler Plant Operator to join our team at The Copper River Family of Companies. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic company that values collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining large air conditioning and refrigerant systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Key responsibilities include igniting fires, starting and stopping equipment, and regulating temperatures and pressures.

Requirements:

  • Class 1 Boiler Operator License in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C., or equivalent certification from ASOPE or NIULPE
  • At least six months' experience in operating large air conditioning and/or refrigerant systems, or two years' experience as an air conditioning equipment mechanic helper or apprentice
  • Demonstrated knowledge of repair, installation, assembly, and troubleshooting of boiler plant systems
  • Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, and guidelines used in boiler plant operations
  • Safe operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Ability to work in confined areas and perform moderate to strenuous physical effort
  • Completion of the OSHA 10-hour Construction Training Course
