The University of Minnesota offers a one-year Transplant Infectious Diseases (TID) Fellowship position. This unique opportunity provides excellent clinical training in TID with exposure to solid organ transplantation (SOT), including heart, lung, liver, kidney and kidney-pancreas transplants as well as hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). Our program leadership works closely with the trainee to individualize clinical and research experiences that are reflective of their interests.

Training occurs in a collaborative and supportive environment. We offer:

  • Rotations on the SOT and hematologic malignancy/HCT ID inpatient service lines.
  • A weekly half-day outpatient continuity clinic.
  • Up to 4 weeks of elective rotations with other transplant service lines and exposure to ventricular assist device ID clinic if interested.
  • Ample opportunities to perform translational and clinical research as well as quality improvement projects.

We are currently accepting applications for the upcoming academic year. To be eligible, candidates must have completed 2 years of an ACGME accredited general ID fellowship, submit a one-page personal statement, provide 2 - 3 letters of recommendation including one from the ID fellowship program director, and hold a board eligible or certified status in infectious diseases. MN medical license is required if applicable, and J1 or HB1 visa holders are also eligible.

We offer a competitive salary range of $230,000 - $280,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
